The canvas is always the center of the workflow. Open Tools to change navigation, rendering, and color settings without leaving the fractal.
Use Reset View to return to the complete Mandelbrot set. The Deep-Zoom Sample is a quick way to verify fine structures and the high-precision renderer.

A portable reference orbit and Metal perturbation renderer preserve detail at extreme magnification.
At higher zoom levels MandelKit computes a precise reference orbit away from the display thread. The existing image remains visible while that reference is prepared.
During a gesture the app lowers internal resolution to keep interaction responsive. After the gesture it automatically settles at a quality appropriate for the device and iteration count.
The portable FloatExp perturbation path reaches the same 10^300 navigation ceiling on Mac, iPhone, and iPad. BLA skips safe iteration blocks at extreme depth without changing their result.

Choose a gradient, procedural color source, or a coordinated style preset.
Gradient mode maps the smooth escape time through the selected palette. Frequency, offset, and gamma change that mapping without changing the region.
Edit a Copy creates a new custom gradient, so built-in palettes remain unchanged. Color stops, stop positions, cyclic behavior, and cycle length are saved in the custom library.
Cyclic LCH, Angle, Domain, Interference, Normal Map, Potential, and Kaleidoscope derive color from different fractal measurements.
Contours, stripes, orbit traps, field lines, distance shading, boundary glow, curvature, TIA, interference, and Lyapunov modifiers can be combined with the selected color source.
Style Presets set a coordinated group of parameters. You can use a preset as a starting point and continue adjusting every visible control.

Save a complete view and return to its exact position and appearance later.
A saved region includes the high-precision center, zoom, formula and Julia parameters, iteration settings, canvas ratio, gradient, modifiers, lighting, 3D relief, material, camera, and center-mark preference.
Thumbnails are rendered from the fractal and cropped to a square. Depending on available width, the explorer displays up to four columns.
Tap a region to restore all saved data. Touch and hold on iPhone or iPad, or use the context menu on Mac, to delete it.
The publication action creates either a gallery entry or a public link. The website derives searchable tags such as 2D or 3D, fractal type, color source, relief source, and active effects from the saved settings. Visitors can sort by new, popular, top rated, or deepest zoom and give one removable heart per browser.

Turn fractal measurements into a height field and inspect the surface from different angles.
The 3D relief uses the same native Metal surface on Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Fractal zoom and pan remain separate from camera orbit and camera movement.
On iPhone and iPad, one-finger drag and pinch continue to navigate inside the fractal. Drag with two fingers to orbit the relief camera.
Height source, signed height, smoothing, material, and the shared lighting controls determine the relief. Bump and depth modifiers also influence the surface.

MandelKit adapts resolution to the device, interaction state, zoom, and iteration workload.
While moving, reduced resolution avoids blocking touch input. The settled render uses more pixels on faster systems and a smaller workload when deep iterations are expensive.
Super Sample evaluates a 2x2 or 4x4 subpixel grid. Adaptive SSAA temporarily uses one sample during gestures, jitter reduces repeating patterns, and the median filter preserves crisp fine structures.
A higher iteration floor reveals late-escaping boundary structures but increases reference-orbit and fragment work. Automatic depth allowance raises the active count as you zoom.
If another process is using the GPU, interaction can temporarily be less fluid even though the final image remains accurate.

Image export preserves the visible canvas framing and selected aspect ratio.
Fit Window exports exactly the fractal area currently visible in the canvas. Fixed presets such as square, portrait, landscape, and social-media ratios constrain both the viewport and export.
High-resolution output derives its height from the visible aspect ratio, so it does not stretch or reveal an unintended part of the fractal.
On iPhone and iPad, choose Export Image to render the exact view at 1080p, 1440p, 4K, 8K, or a custom size. PNG, JPEG, TIFF, and independent export supersampling are available through the system file exporter.
Choose Share Image to render the exact visible canvas and open the system sharing services. Messages, AirDrop, Mail, and compatible third-party apps appear when they are available on the device.
Zoom-video controls remain intentionally hidden on every platform for now.

The viewport exposes a concise gesture description to VoiceOver. Sliders, toggles, presets, gradients, and saved regions use native controls with accessible labels.
The interface follows Dynamic Type on iPhone and iPad, supports portrait and landscape, and adapts inspectors and navigation to available width.
